Ph.D. Student Opening

We are looking for a Ph.D. student (starting from Spring or Fall 2014) who is interested in the research work in laser-material interactions and laser-based manufacturing and materials processing. If you are interested, please e-mail your short resume and un-official transcripts to me at
Highly-motivated students with strong backgrounds in one or several areas of heat transfer, fluid mechanics, and continuum or atomic scale modeling of thermal/fluid transport, materials processing, and manufacturing processes are encouraged to apply. An earned M.S. degree (before Spring or Fall 2014) in engineering, physics, or related fields is strongly preferred.
Thank you for your interest!
