Recent Armour College of Engineering graduate Erfan Ahmadi (ME ‘15) was sure he wanted to work for Tesla after getting a tour of the company’s facility in Fremont, California. He knew the revolutionary electric car manufacturer that recently expanded into energy storage and solar panels would provide him with a challenging work environment.

Armour College of Engineering Alumnus Manu Vora (M.S. CHE ’70, Ph.D. ’75) received the 28th Simon Collier Quality Award on November 21 from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Los Angeles Section for his outstanding achievement in the field of quality.

Armour College of Engineering Alumnus Manu Vora (M.S. CHE ’70, Ph.D. ’75) was recently selected on a Fulbright Specialist roster. The appointment is for a five-year term from 2016-2021. The program is managed by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and the Institute of International Education’s Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES). The Roster is a list of all candidates who are eligible to be matched with incoming project requests from overseas academic institutions for Fulbright Specialists.

Prasad S. Kodukula (Ph.D. ENVE '84), an adjunct faculty member in Armour’s Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering Department, was named the recipient of the 2016 Eric Jenett Project Management Excellence Award from the Project Management Institute (PMI). The award honors an individual who has made outstanding contributions to the project management profession or its practice through leadership, technical project management, and strategic and business management acumen.

Recent Armour College of Engineering Graduate Luis Larco (CE, EE ‘15), came to Armour College as a junior transfer student from a community college and is leaving with two undergraduate degrees and a job at Google. Among the many stepping-stones along the way, Larco credits his work with Armour R&D as having a significant impact on his path to securing his dream job.

Armour College of Engineering Alumnus John Calabrese (ME ‘81) was named to the Board of Directors of Altair ProductDesign on January 8, 2015. The appointment is effective immediately.

Altair ProductDesign is a global, multi-disciplinary product development consultancy that is best known for its market leadership in combining engineering expertise with computer-aided engineering technology to deliver innovation and automate processes.
