Chemical Engineering (B.S.)/Chemical Engineering (M.A.S.)

Illinois Tech’s Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering/Master of Chemical Engineering accelerated master's program allows students the opportunity to pursue advanced studies in chemical engineering while completing both degrees in as few as five years.

Students will build a basic foundation in chemical engineering during the undergraduate portion of this program, which will prepare them for more advanced chemical engineering work in the fourth year. Gain in-depth knowledge of the newest and most important chemical engineering topics and learn to develop transformative solutions for pressing challenges in the field.

Upon graduation, students will understand broad concepts of systems, analysis, and technical management, and they will be prepared to succeed in chemical process and related industries.

Students applying to the accelerated master’s program must have completed at least 60 credit hours with at least one full semester (12 credit hours) of applicable undergraduate study at the university.

Students must be at least one full semester (12 credit hours) away from undergraduate degree completion in order to apply.

Applicants are required to have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale; however, please consult individual departments for specific minimum GPA requirements.
