Join the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering for the 2015 Peck Lecture on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 3:15 p.m. in the Perlstein Hall Auditorium. The 2015 distinguished lecturer will be Ali Khademhosseini, Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School and Director of the Biomaterials Innovation Research Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, MIT, Cambridge, MA, Wyss Institute for Biologically Inspired Engineering, Harvard University, Boston, MA.

The Chemical and Biological Engineering Department of Armour College of Engineering is honored to have Dr. Kristi S. Anseth give the 2014 Ralph Peck Lecture.

The Ralph Peck Lecture Series began in the late 1970s and is held in honor of Ralph Peck, a dynamic teacher and researcher, who was chairman of the chemical engineering department from 1953 to 1967. Lecturers are selected via nominations by the department faculty and voted on by a department committee. Previous lecturers have come from all over the country and from academia, government organizations and corporations.

Armour College of Engineering’s (ACE) Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering (ChBE) and Department of Civil, Architectural, and Environmental Engineering (CAEE) is co-sponsoring a lecture with Wagner Institute for Sustainable Energy Research (WISER).

Dr. Radisav D. Vidic will present his lecture “Opportunities and Challenges in Unconventional (Shale) Gas Extraction.” Dr. Vidic is a Professor and Chair at Swanson School of Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh.
