The Illinois Tech Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization (CEO) student group has announced the accomplishments of its members in innovation and entrepreneurship competitions. Two Armour College of Engineering student entrepreneurs have won competitions through the organization.

A $30 million-plus innovation and tech entrepreneurship building planned to be constructed at Illinois Institute of Technology was recently featured in Crain’s. The institute is being named after the family of alumnus and benefactor Ed Kaplan and will be the first new academic building to be constructed on Illinois Tech’s Mies Campus since the early 1970’s.

Join the IIT chapter of the Collegiate Entrepreneurs’ Organization for StartupIIT, the ultimate startup weekend from October 24-26. The event will be held at TechNexus, 20 N Upper Wacker Dr #1200.

StartupIIT is all about hands-on experiences! The goal is to bring together enthusiastic and like-minded students who want to learn what it takes to be an entrepreneur by sharing ideas, building a product, and finally pitching their ideas to experienced entrepreneurs and investors.

The first Startup Weekend Women’s Edition takes place Friday, June 20 at 6 pm through Sunday, June 22 at 9 pm in the Starter School located at 30 N. Racine, Suite 210 in Chicago. The event will showcase talented female entrepreneurs from all over Chicago. Don’t worry, men are invited to take part too!
